Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue Ebony 3-Pickup Bigsby
Paying homage to the year of the humbucker, this 1957 reissue is an absolute beauty!
The black Les Paul Custom is one of the most iconic guitars of all time. This 1957 Reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop pays homage to the year it was introduced, along with another iconic innovation: the PAF Humbucker!
As befits a true Les Paul Custom, the body of this 1957 Reissue is made from one piece of solid mahogany, which also applies to the neck. This makes the sound of this Les Paul extra creamy, driving and simply fat! A trio of Custombucker Alnico III pickups ensure an open, detailed sound. What immediately stands out is the Bigsby B7 tailpiece, which not only sets you up for sultry vibrato sounds, but also adds an extra bit of air to the sound.
Visually, this Les Paul Custom is simply the one. The characteristic Ebony finish is done in a thin Nitro lacquer with VOS treatment for a subtle, faded look. Thanks to the discolored binding along the body, this Custom Shop looks extra lived in! The gold hardware gives the guitar an extra chic look, just like the 50's style inlays in the neck. What an absolute (black) beauty! Comes with matching case.
