This Gibson Murphy Lab '59 ES-355 oozes class. The ES-355 model was introduced by Gibson in 1958 as the flagship in the ES series. With its ebony fingerboard, gold hardware and characteristic inlays, this Murphy flawlessly captures the essence of a true '59. In terms of color, we opted for a cool Viking Red finish, a finish that did not originally appear in the Gibson catalog! Thanks to the Light Murphy aging, this ES-355 feels and looks like a played-in, loose guitar with subtle wear .

Tonally, this Gibson Murphy Lab ES-355 has everything you would expect from an ES model of this caliber. The neck pickup is silky soft in the highs and has a fine, woody sound that is perfect for jazz or blues. On the other hand, the bridge pickup, with its crystal clear, open sound, is an ideal companion for pop, rock and even country.
