With the Motherload, Crazy Tube Circuits pays homage to 2 unmistakable classics within the fuzz/distortion world: the Proco RAT and the EHX Big Muff, but with a plot twist. But more on that later...

Essentially, the pedal is very simple: you can choose between RAT and Big Muff-inspired sounds with the R/M toggle switch. Then you can control the volume and amount of overdrive. Like the original circuits, the RAT side has a filter tone control, while the Big Muff side has a traditional tone knob, as well as a handy voice control that lets you switch between different flavors of overdrive. Remember when I mentioned a plot twist? Because now it comes: with the EQ-link button you activate all EQ controls at the same time. This means that you can color the RAT with the tone controls of the Big Muff, or the Big Muff with the Filter of the RAT. How cool is that!
